The club also participates in community events and enjoys field trips. The next field trip planned later this year is to visit the aircraft carrier, Hornet.
Other events scheduled are on April 2 and 3 for Fundemonium’s Model Boat Show to be held at Fundemonium in Rohnert Park, and on May 14 at the R.C. Swap Meet to be held at the Santa Rosa Veteran’s Building.
The club now has a display case set up at Fundemonium. Club members can display their completed model boat project. We like to have a different display each month, so club members should contact me if they’d like to schedule their project for display. Currently displayed this month is my model of the HMS Dreadnought.
REMS publishes a monthly newsletter on various club member’s projects and other club news.
Each month we hold a drawing at the end of each club meeting for $10 in Fundemonium dollars.
The Redwood Empire Model Shipwrights meets the first Saturday of each month at Fundemonium from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Come join us!
