We had a good turnout for the July Warhammer 40K tournament given that I forgot to send an email and the space was cramped with remodeling material.
The three scenarios were:
- Dawn of War Each player had two objectives (power generators) that they must defend. The other objective was to destroy your opponents power generators.
- Hammer and Anvil Each player had one 'Base' objective deep in their deployment zone. The rest of the scoring was just to destroy as much of your opponent's army as possible.
- Vanguard Strike Victory Conditions Each player had 5 objectives to defend, one of which had to be in the center of the table.
After many hours of battle the results were:
- First place: Lauren Kozlenko with Necrons and Grey Knights
- Second place: Dick Smith with Eldar Third place:
- Jacek with Blood Angels
WH40K July 2013 Tournament Players set up for the first scenario. Flying Orcs! A pile of Orcs ready for battle. Eldar move onto the field Zac ponders his next move. Jason deploys his troops. Necrons advance. Grey Knights wait their turn. Nathan enjoys the battle. Eldar ships on the move. Forces engage. This Orc couldn't shoot! Kept missing at close range.
